Privacy policy

Gobron HQ is a private app for the Gobron family to share calendars, plans and lists. It is run by Paul Gobron for family members he invites. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect from your Google account
When you sign in with Google, you choose to give Gobron HQ access to:
- Your basic profile (name, email address and profile picture), to create your account and show family members who you are.
- Your list of Google calendars (read only), so you can choose which calendars to share with your family groups.
- Your calendar events, to show your events alongside the ones family members share with you, and to add, change or delete events when you ask the app to.
- Your Google contacts (read only, and only if you turn it on in Settings), to show family members by their first names instead of their email addresses.
How we use it
- Calendar events are read from Google each time you open the app and are shown only to you and to members of the family groups you choose to share them with. Gobron HQ does not keep copies of your Google Calendar events. It stores only what it needs to remember your choices: which events you shared or tagged to a plan, the titles of events you hid (so you can find them to unhide), and the names of people invited to events, so they can be shown by name.
- Gobron HQ keeps the sign-in tokens Google gives it, so it can read your calendar while you use the app. They stop working when you remove its access.
- From your contacts, Gobron HQ keeps only names matched to email addresses, to label people in the app.
- Gobron HQ never sells your data, never shows ads, and never uses Google data to train AI or for any purpose other than the features you use.
Gobron HQ's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What you add in the app
Lists, plans, ideas, expenses, events kept "Gobron HQ only", and your Venmo username are stored by Gobron HQ and shown to the people you share them with.
If you upload a receipt photo or an Amazon order history file, it is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI service to read the store, total and items, and only the results are kept. Google user data is never sent to Anthropic or any other AI service.
Where it's kept and who can see it
Your data is stored on a private server in Google Cloud in the United States, sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and protected so that only the app can read it. Only you and the family members you share with can see your information in the app. We don't share it with anyone else, except Anthropic as described above or if required by law.
Your choices
- Stop sharing any calendar or event with a group at any time in the app.
- Turn off contact names, and forget purchase history, in Settings.
- Remove Gobron HQ's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Ask for your account and everything stored about you to be deleted by emailing gobronp@gmail.com. We delete it within 30 days.
Children
Gobron HQ is meant for adults in the family and is not directed at children under 13.
